En 1901, La société S. Plissonnier crédit agricole, qui est spécialisée dans la fabrication de machines agricoles et industrielles, installe son usine cours Lafayette à Lyon. A partir de 1919, on assiste à un changement de raison sociale et la société Plissonnier devient la Socité Lyonnaise de construction de machines agricoles. Les machines agricoles fabriquées sont les houes-cultivateurs de la marque Screw, réglage de l'écartement par vis, les charrues Brabant rève, les faucheuses et moissonneuses Simplex Frost-Wood, les locomotives-machines à battre Marshall, les moteurs à essence à pétrole et à vapeur, les moulins à vent et pompes, les faucheuses, râteaux à cheval, râteaux faneurs, faneuses, charrues, brabants ainsi que les moteurs à vent et le matériel de battage. Une usine plus importante est localisée à Oullins, banlieue sud de Lyon, au 120 chemin de Pierre-Bénite. Cette société perdure jusqu'à la fin des années 1930.
